He couldn't face his family after the unfortunate event that befell his sister; someone's death was because of him. He sought refuge in Aurora Zhou, without whom he wouldn't have discovered the truth behind the tragedy. He was mostly seen in Aurora's bar late at night, confiding in her, as only those two shared the secret he vowed to keep until his deathbed. Guilt washed over him, and with every passing moment his sister remained in a coma, the urge to drop out of the election grew stronger. Yet, Aurora had a way of ensuring he stayed in his field. Although there was no legally binding case to punish the main culprit, Cedric had an even better set of cards to playβtaking revenge after winning the election. He did, and with his new position, hiding and covering their disappearance was not too difficult to achieve.
